Andrew
Dixson-Smith, Director

Andrew
qualified as a financial advisor in 1985. Having spent a disproportionate
amount of time advising retired clients about their finances, he
began specialising in Care Fees Planning in 1998.
Andrew
has appeared in a number of publications and regularly presents
on care fees planning at seminars, to an audience of relatives and
healthcare professionals – including charities, homes, social
services and related professions (eg. solicitors). He has first hand experience of
finding and funding long-term care with four older members of his
own family in homes, one of whom currently suffers from Alzheimer's.
Andrew
regards ongoing training as essential and attends regular workshops
on issues concerning elderly care. He believes that clients value
his personal service and he therefore tries to be available,
at any time and for as long as necessary, to personally advise his
clients.
As well as holding the required qualification to advise on Long Term Care (the Chartered Insurance Institute's 'CF8') Andrew is shortly to gain the Later Life Adviser Accredition, which launches on 23 April 2008.
